Despite the long struggle to obtain the right to marry, the joy we experienced from the events surrounding our wedding was beyond all our expectations. All week we have been astonished by the love and good will from our families, friends, neighbors and even strangers.

Still, there are many people in Massachusetts who would like to see the right to marry taken away from us. And in every other state, same-sex couples are denied this basic human right.
